» Doron Valero, former president of Equity One, a Miami-based real estate investment trust, has launched Global Fund Investments, a Miami Beach company that plans to acquire shopping centers in Florida and Texas.

» West Palm Beach developer Kolter Communities has named James Harvey president of Kolter Land Partners-East in St. Petersburg. Harvey, a former Landmar Group executive, will focus on residential land purchase and development opportunities.

» Former Trammell Crow executive John Bell has joined New York-based real estate investment banking firm DTZ Rockwood as managing director of investment sales activities in its new Miami office. Donald B. Cartwright has also joined the company as senior vice president.
